Team Ward spend the day volunteering at Dandelion Time’s West Farleigh site

On Friday 17 February, members of Team Ward visited Dandelion Time’s West Farleigh site, for a day of volunteering.

Dandelion Time helps children with challenging emotional issues. A child referred to Dandelion Time may be struggling due to trauma, abuse or neglect. They may be fragile, withdrawn or showing aggression, or may have been excluded from school. We work with both the child and their family, helping them heal relationships and thrive. Read more about Dandelion Time here.

The team spent the day, alongside Enterprise, another corporate partner of Dandelion Time, digging trenches for a new water pipe and a base for the latest composting toilet as well as general maintenance around the site.

The volunteering days spent at Dandelion Time are thoroughly enjoyed by all of Team Ward. It’s so rewarding to be able to make a difference to a child’s life, and give back where we can.

Caroline Fish, Corporate Relationship Manager at Dandelion Time, said “Thank you so much for all your amazing hard work, as always we really appreciate the huge difference you have made to the site. Getting water to the sheep field and that area of the site has been top of Camber and Michelle’s list for months and now it can actually happen! The new composting toilet, while not glamourous I know, is essential to us being able to open up that area of the site for children and family sessions.”
