Counter-Terrorism, Risk and Mitigation, Security Matters

Ward’s Canine team support National Counterterrorism Police Conference in conjunction with TiNYg

On Thursday 9th March, Ward’s canine team supported the National Counterterrorism Policing and TINYg conference at Clifford Chance in Canary Wharf, London.

Our explosive dog detection team, made up of Lee Chapman and his dog Chase, and Aaron Page-Baldwin and his dog Jess, searched the venue before 400 members of the counter-terrorism police community arrived.

Due to the scale of the conference and the profile of the attendees, searching the venue prior to the arrival of guests was a crucial step in ensuring the safety of those attending. Ward’s search dogs have excellent scenting capabilities making them well equipped to be deployed across a wide range of sites to provide an extra level of security.

Paul Harvey, Executive Director at Ward and TINYg’s UK Chair, comments, “Ward are delighted to have provided two of our outstanding explosive detection dogs for this National CT Policing conference. With over 400 attendees, explosive detection adds an extra layer to mitigating risk in corporate environments and events. We are pleased that the event was a success and that the attendees were safe and secure. I am also delighted to share that in line with our responsibility commitments, this service was provided at no cost to either the Police, TINYg or Clifford Chance.”
