Jennifer Salter is appointed as ESG Manager at Ward

We are pleased to announce that Jennifer Salter has joined Team Ward in the newly created role of ESG Manager.

Like many businesses, Ward like to be socially responsible in how we work, how we support the community and on minimising any negative impact on the planet. However, there is always more we can do and more we can learn.

Jenny will lead the implementation of our ESG strategy, driving and reporting on key areas of performance including our environmental impact and carbon reduction pathway. Being the main point of advice and consultation internally and externally, she will play a key role in an ongoing educational programme to frontline and support teams to help embed a culture of sustainability best practice across the business.

Jennifer is a Chartered Environmentalist and a full member of IEMA. She has previously worked as a Principal Sustainability Consultant, guiding a variety of companies on their own ESG journey, as well working as an Environmental and Sustainability Manager and Specialist in both the private and public sectors. She has experience working with the facilities management sector, and both the product and service industries. She has also worked both in the UK and internationally with a variety of businesses.

Jennifer comments, “Sustainability is a survival thing, Ward has made this a priority and created the ESG Manager position. To future proof business, we will all need to adapt and mitigate the effects of climate change. I am proud to be part of this journey with Ward.

Brian Stroud, SHEQ Director, said: “Jenny’s wealth of experience and obvious infectious passion for her subject matter will be a real asset in our ongoing education and in helping us move to the next level on our own strategic ESG roadmap. I’m very much looking forward to seeing where this takes us!”
