Forever Manchester: A charity that continues to make a difference for local communities across Greater Manchester

Forever Manchester fund and support a range of great projects for local communities across Greater Manchester. We’re so proud to be one of Forever Manchester’s corporate partners that work with, and support, this fantastic charity.

Here are some of the recent projects the charity have supported:

Become United is a new group, based in Rochdale, who offer a variety of support to BAMER individuals of all ages. They work with those from marginalised communities and currently run football sessions and a mother and child group for the community. They applied for funding to create a domestic violence pack to include details of the signs and how to get help/support.

Walkden Amateur Boxing Club aims to improve lives in the local community both physically and mentally through the sport of boxing. The group requested funding to run a nutrition course alongside their boxing classes for the children and young people who attend sessions in the school summer holidays.

Bury Rural Inequalities Forum offer representation for 6 rural villages in Bury, providing the communities with connections to other organisations and creating a community voice. The group was founded in 2018 to produce a walking route in the area and they would like to ensure the activity remains free and accessible to all online. They requested funding to pay for web storage and online costs to host the walking information.

Friends of Cleavley Community Forest Garden, based in Eccles, is a group of local residents that aim to maintain and support the development of their unique community resource and green space, Cleavley Forest Garden. They requested funding to purchase materials for four free community events that will take place throughout the year including an Autumn trail and a Christmas celebration.
