Ward Security Achieves Highest ever score in independent audit

National security firm Ward Security has achieved its highest ever score of 171 out of 174 in an independent audit conducted on behalf of the Security Industry Authority (SIA) – the organisation responsible for regulating the private security industry in the UK as part of its Approved Contractor Score (ACS) scheme.

Ward Security has also successfully completed transition to ISO 9001:2015 (quality management systems) and ISO 14001:2015 (environmental management) from the older versions of the standards.

External assessing body Chamber Certification Assessment Service Ltd (CCAS) carried out a combined annual assessment of Ward Security during February 2017 that included a reverification assessment for the SIA Approved Contractor Scheme for Security Guarding, Door Supervision, CCTV and Keyholding sectors. Auditors visited Ward Security’s Rochester and London offices, as well as the company’s control room and thirteen customer sites across the UK, conducting interviews with Ward Security management, employees and customers.

Speaking about the achievement, Nikhil Kamboj, Business Services Director at Ward Security said “We strive not only to maintain the standards that our reputation is built upon, but to improve on those standards. It’s fair to say that setting such an ambitious goal is very hard when the company is both growing and operating in a challenging environment.

“It would be easy to look simply to maintaining standards and not invest the time and effort in improving standards, however, Ward Security’s success has been built on a culture of continual improvement, so standing still in any regard is not something we are comfortable with.

“This excellent score proves that we are managing to keep our standards in parallel with our business growth, ensuring our internal and customer facing systems are robust. We are very proud of our achievement.”

Kevin Ward, Managing Director of Ward Security added “When we founded this business we understood that our success or otherwise would depend on the quality of our service offer and, equally, the quality of our people. Both need to be of equally high standards. As the company has grown we have never lost sight of the fact that we are only as good as the people we employ and the tools and systems we put in place to support them. Achieving this score is a company-wide achievement and from my perspective is fully deserved. Everybody within Ward Security should be congratulated on their dedication and efforts.”

Ward Security has a head office in London and a network of regional offices including Rochester, Bracknell, Manchester and a newly opened office in Scotland. Ward Security provides a broad range of bespoke, integrated and flexible security services working with clients in the public and private sector. Areas of specialist expertise include the provision of search and selection guard dogs, wireless intruder detection systems and concierge services through its Ward Belgravia division.
