Ward Security Proudly Supports Action Counters Terrorism Campaign – ACT

Today marks the beginning of a UK wide campaign created by the Counter Terrorism Police to tackle terrorism and encourage people to report suspicious behaviour.  As we approach the anniversary of the tragedies in London and Manchester research shows that anxiety around terrorism remains high and with the terror threat still standing at SEVERE, meaning an attack is highly likely, it is therefore still very much a real threat to businesses and communities across the UK.

The message remains that “Communities Defeat Terrorism” and it is now more important than ever that everyone plays their part. Like other criminals, terrorists need to plan so if any of us see or hear something unusual or suspicious the advice is to trust our instincts and ACT by reporting it in confidence at www.gov.uk/ACT

Over the next four weeks Ward Security will be proudly supporting Counter Terrorism Policing’s Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) campaign which is commencing today, designed to encourage the public to help the police tackle terrorism and save lives by reporting suspicious behaviour and activity.  This comprehensive guidance goes far beyond simply reporting unattended bags, it is about identifying suspicious behaviour and will be invaluable in educating your workforce throughout your business.

Please do follow us on linkedin, on twitter  and facebook and also approach your media teams to help engage and share the messages behind this important campaign.
