Ward security dogs are the best in the business, and we guarantee this expertise by training them ourselves. Our dog trainers were in the Association of Chief Police Officers and are qualified to instruct all disciplines of service dogs. That covers general purpose patrol dogs, explosive search dogs and drugs detection dogs, both passive (person search) and proactive. Our trainers are also National Association of Security Dog Users (NASDU) accredited instructors and the courses are licensed to NASDU standards. We instruct our own handlers as well as Ward’s 60 dogs.
Ward dog training also extends to instructing external persons and agencies. We can create bespoke courses to cater for students’ individual learning styles. So far we have successfully trained a number of external students to a licensing standard in explosive detection and continue to instruct them monthly on their continuation training. We have also conducted training outside of Ward with general purpose patrol dogs and narcotic detection dogs. Ward is the only company that has the quality of their training independently assessed.
We are planning to open our own kennels at which time we will be able to schedule and provide external initial and continuation courses in all of the above disciplines.
