WARD SECURITY RETAINS TOP SCORE FROM APPROVED CONTRACTOR SCHEME

National security firm Ward Security remains amongst the top 1-2% of approved security providers in the UK after achieving a score of 170 out of 174 in an independent audit conducted on behalf of the Security Industry Authority (SIA) – the organisation responsible for regulating the private security industry in the UK – as part of its Approved Contractor Score (ACS) scheme.   The auditors report stated that the company maintains excellent performance across all standards of the ACS scheme and was impressed by the company’s key focus and role in public protection.

External assessing body Chamber Certification Assessment Service Ltd (CCAS) carried out a combined annual assessment of Ward Security during February and March 2018 that included a re verification assessment for the SIA Approved Contractor Scheme for Security Guarding, Door Supervision, CCTV and Keyholding sectors, as well as a surveillance audit for ISO9001:2008 (Quality), and for BS18001:2007 (Occupational Health & Safety).

Speaking about the achievement, Nikhil Kamboj, Business Services Director at Ward Security said “We are very proud of our achievement.  Overall, it was a very successful audit with auditors highlighting a large number of areas of good practices. Due to the change in ACS scoring, many businesses have seen big drops in their scores however, it seems our fresh focus on promoting Counter Terrorism Awareness, investment in Cyber Security, use of technology, coupled with stringent operating procedures and a risk based approach has helped us retain our top 1-2% position.”

Kevin Ward, Managing Director of Ward Security added “The last 12 months has been a transitional period for Ward Security’s management team.  We have overseen a number of changes to processes and we have invested in attracting senior personnel to the team to ensure we are providing the most up to date security solutions in the market.   These changes have helped us to successfully continue our upwards growth strategy despite working through a period of economic uncertainty.  Thanks to the combined efforts of our management team, compliance department and employees across the business, we have managed these changes seamlessly and are poised for future growth.”
