Ward Security Dog Handlers Celebrate Success At Nasdu Dog Trials

Three of Ward Security’s professional dog handlers are celebrating after being recognised at the prestigious NASDU dog trials, which took place at Huntingdon Race Course on Friday 8th September.

Dog handlers Allan Parkin, Michael Stokes and Sonny Halith were all selected after an in-house competition.

Sonny Halith was the overall winner of the competition winning a 1st in class for Obedience, 2nd in Protection and a 3rd in Agility and Best Bite.  Sonny has developed his dog from a puppy and worked so hard training a lot in his own time and learning from people both nationally and internationally.

Michael Stokes, who has only been with the company a few months, took a very credible 5th place and placed 3rd in the protection element of the competition.

David Ward, Chief Executive Officer at Ward Security said “We are extremely proud of our dog handling team and these awards are testament to their high level of skill and dedication of the handlers.  Our team train meticulously under the watchful eye of Ali Tod who is a former Metropolitan Police Dog instructor with over 18 years experience, and they are renowned for their expertise and careful handling in often difficult situations.   We pride ourselves in having the best dog handling team in the industry and the NASDU dog trials are superb recognition of this and the hours of work the team put into making sure the dogs are trained and managed to the highest possible standards.”

Ward Security provides general purpose patrol dogs as well as explosive and narcotics trained search dogs working with a range of clients in the public and private sector.
