Ward Security celebrates at ACS Pacesetters Awards

Ward Security is pleased to announce that Karen Jones, one of our canine team, has been awarded a Security Officer of Distinction award at the ACS Pacesetters Annual Awards.

Karen has been a conscientious member of the canine team at Ward Security for six years, transferring to her current assignment in 2016 along with her dog Edward.

When Karen spotted an individual acting suspicious and taking photos around the site she span her van round and stopped to question him professionally but tactfully on his motives. Following the conversation Karen reported the incident to other members of the security team. When the individual was further monitored he was seen running from the scene.

CCTV footage was closely reviewed whereupon the suspect was spotted engaging covertly with other people among the crowds. In light of the current terror threat this potential hostile reconnaissance was escalated to Special Branch to carry out their own further investigations. This proactive action put the client’s mind at rest who stated they were “Delighted to endorse such high quality dog handlers.”

Ward Security was also presented with a company award for being an ACS Pacesetters member and for maintaining high standards.
