SIA AUDIT SUCCESS FOR WARD SECURITY

Ward Security has successfully achieved success following an independent audit conducted on behalf of the Security Industry Authority (SIA) – the organisation responsible for regulating the private security industry in the UK as part of its Approved Contractor Score (ACS) scheme.   The company was awarded a high score of 171 out of 174.

The assessment was carried out during February 2019 by external assessing body Chamber Certification Assessment Service Ltd (CCAS) and included a reverification assessment for the SIA Approved Contractor Scheme for Security Guarding, Door Supervision, CCTV and Keyholding sectors. Auditors visited Ward Security’s offices in London and Kent, as well as the company’s control room, customer sites across the UK and conducting interviews with Ward Security management, employees and customers.

In addition, Ward Security holds ISO 9001 (quality management systems), ISO 14001 (environmental management) as well as successfully completing the transition to ISO 45001 the new replacement Occupational Health & Safety standard for OHSAS 18001.  The company was also accredited with BS7958 CCTV, Management and Operational Code of Practices this month.

Kevin Ward, Managing Director of Ward Security said “Investing in an annual independent assessment is important to us to ensure the quality of our service and the quality of our people is maintained at a very high standard.  Our business has grown extensively over the last few years and we have been careful not to lose sight of the fact that we are only as good as the people we employ and the tools and systems we put in place to support them. Achieving this audit success along with new accreditations is an excellent company-wide achievement and everybody within Ward Security should be congratulated on their efforts.”
