Data Centre Growth Attributed to Outstanding Customer Service

Two new contracts to provide the security for Data Centres have been awarded to Ward Security increasing both its client footprint in the M4 corridor and its specialist regional team.  The company attributes its growth in the sector to the high level of customer service it provides which is backed by intensive specialist training for all security officers who are assigned to data centre premises.

Ward Security began operating in the Data Centre space 10 years ago and our approach has been to employ managers who have years of experience managing these type of high security facilities and understand the level of additional training that is needed to ensure every team member has specialist training to perform at the highest level.

Kevin Ward, Managing Director at Ward Security said “We are delighted to continue our growth in this highly specialised sector.  Data Centres are multifaceted and require excellent communication skills as well as in depth knowledge of access control and client procedures and our teams are completely centred on the client’s needs.  We are very pleased that our reputation as a trusted supplier continues to grow significantly in this sector and these new contracts give us an opportunity to develop these credentials further.”

“Datacentre security is a highly specialised discipline” said Bruce Anderson, Senior Regional Manager  of Ward Security’s West region. “They require a high level of security integrity along with variable footfall levels and working patterns which require 24/7 monitoring.  Data is a valuable commodity which needs sophisticated security and an experienced team.  All the colleagues we employ to work on data centre locations must have several years’ experience as a security officer before they can undergo the training needed to meet the needs of this specialist sector.   Our teams receive environment and client specific training, and the integration process requires the completion of an intensive four-week training programme, including Cyber Security, followed by regular testing.
