Ward Security has expanded its security guarding presence in the North West after winning a new contract that will see the company look after 12 sites for property consultancy Knight Frank.

The new sites are based in Manchester, Warrington and Chester and involve the supplying of manned guarding, locks and unlocks and keyholding services.  The transfer of the contract to Ward Security began in March.

Kevin Ward, Managing Director of Ward Security said “We have an experienced team established in Manchester and have been actively expanding our portfolio of clients in this region.  Having worked with Knight Frank for many years looking after premises in London we are really pleased to be able to continue this relationship with them in the North West.

“Our business has been growing increasingly outside of our business heartlands of London and Kent, and we have developed key teams in the South West, Midlands and all around the M25 area as well as in Manchester which is all part of our wider strategy to be a security provider with national capabilities.   50% of all new business we won in the first quarter of the year has been for contracts based outside of London and while it has been an unusual few months of trading, we are hopeful we can continue to build on this momentum in the regions as we move into the last six months the year.”

Director of Facilities Management, Anthony Watson said “Following a competitive tender process Ward Security were awarded the contract to provide security services for Knight Frank across the North West. From the offset their attention to detail, professionalism and market knowledge made them the clear favourites.

“Two months into the instruction we are satisfied that we have made the right decision and look forward to forging a dynamic partnership with the team over the next three years.”
