We are looking for flexible Individuals who can work on their own initiative and be part of a team.  Our Security Officers are the face of Ward Security and therefore if you have an SIA license, have experience managing Security Officers and are passionate about security and safety, then please read on for our current Security Manager opportunity.

What is the role?

Security Manager – Frontline SIA required – no applications will be considered unless you hold a valid SIA License and have access to your own vehicle.  All roles are subject vetting to a 5 year checkable history.

Where is it based?

In our West Region, Slough.

What is the main purpose of the role?

  • Directly manage the supervision of personnel, ensuring that the Company’s obligations are adhered to at all times in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure all personnel on site under your remit, are rostered appropriately to ensure that the contractual obligations are met.
  • Be the first port of call for all security issues and staff issues on site, and escalate as necessary.
  • Ensure that all relevant information is collated and recorded for future reference.
  • Liaise with all security officers ensuring that all information is made available in order for the operation of the Company to work in an effective manner.
  • Provide documentation and reports in support of the day-to-day operational activities.
  • Respond and take action in event of evacuations and emergencies ensuring that your team take appropriate action.
  • Ensure that staff and clients of the Company assist the Compliance Director to ensure agreement with policies and regulations adhere to Health & Safety policies and regulations.
  • Participate in, and ensure the continuation of specialist training to key members of staff within the remit of your authority.
  • Ensure that all members of your team work in an appropriate and effective manner, whilst giving further training in specific areas where required.
  • Complete performance appraisals when necessary, and liaise directly with Regional Operations Manager to ensure that in periods of sickness and absence, that the site remains fully manned at all times.

What experience, skills and attributes do I need?

  • Able to construct a legible report.
  • Good interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate clearly with people at all levels projecting a confident and professional manner.
  • Experience within a similar position is preferred
  • A 5-year checkable work history to include Supervisory employment.
  • To be able to observe and accurately record incidents as they occur.
  • Be able to prioritise workloads and be flexible in the approach to varied tasks.
  • Physically fit for the environment of the workplace.
  • To be of smart appearance at all times whilst representing the company image.
  • To be punctual in attendance.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
