What is the role?

Security Team Leader – Frontline SIA License required – no applications will be considered unless you hold a valid SIA Licence & CCTV Licence.  All roles are subject vetting to a 5 year checkable history to include Supervisory experience.

  • Take ownership of all CCTV, access control and alarm systems for South Bank Central whilst adhering to the Data Protection Act 2018. To include maintaining the access log.
  • Ensure accurate records are maintained of all equipment including alarm systems, monitoring and report any defects to security maintenance contractor and Security Manager on a daily shift basis to ensure appropriate and timely response and repair of equipment.
  • Commence radio checks at the beginning of every shift.
  • Create, issue and document Tenant’s access passes.
  • Take ownership and control of the issue of contractor passes, keys & radios and ensure that the issue DOB’s are kept up to date & report any anomalies to the Supervisor/Security Manager.
  • Carry out daily verification checks to ensure all control room systems are fully operational and where they are not, initiate corrective action.
  • Maintain the DOB to ensure all incidents and occurrences are up to date.
  • Carry out our weekly Fire Test every Friday at 11:00.
  • Undertake a monthly key audit and raise any issues with the Security Manager.
  • To be conversant with all life safety systems and assist in responding to all emergencies promptly as illustrated in these Assignment Instructions.
  • Pass on any telephone enquiries or message to the relevant people or department.
  • Be fully conversant and comply with the Assignment Instructions and Health & Safety Risk Assessments/Toolbox Talks.
  • To be fully conversant with and comply with all other procedures as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
  • Ensure no isolations are to be made without seeking further permission from Senior management or client.
  • Ensure the F.C.C is always kept clean and tidy.
  • Monitor, report and escalate to Security Management any incidents reported through news media, emails and staff portal which may impact on South Bank Central.
  • Provide accurate and timely information for the preparation of reports as requested.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, Company and contractual obligations.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports from CCTV & Access Control systems.
  • Maintain accurate and correct documentation and update as required.
  • Display SIA licence always whilst on duty.
  • Make enquiries and submit reports on incidents as instructed by the Security Manager
  • Be aware of policy and procedures owned and changed from time to time by Ward Security.

  • Assist with a daily mail run and with breaks for the Front of House Officers.
  • Carry out any other reasonable request as required by the Security Manager/Security Supervisor.

  • Experience within a similar position
  • CCTV Licence
  • Demonstrate the ability to organise multiple tasks in the most effective way and allocate time and energy according to task complexity and priority.
  • The ability to make effective decisions on a day-to-day basis, taking ownership of decisions, demonstrating sound judgement in escalating issues where necessary.

  • A 5-year checkable work history or back to school record.
