What is the role? 

The Junior Systems Technician will be accountable and responsible for the installation and maintenance of the various company systems installations, ensuring they are installed, removed and maintained in a timely manner as requested by the client or aligned to the maintenance schedules. The Technician will be accountable and take responsibility for the management of the various systems, liaising with the National Operations Centre (NOC), relevant management and external agencies for the set up and monitoring of the sites, whilst providing professional support to the business and clients.  Maintaining customer service excellence at all times and having a team approach to installations and maintenance will ensure a smooth operational channel for the National Operations Centre (NOC) and the end user.

What is the main purpose of the role? 

  • Reporting direct to the Systems Manager
  • Overseeing the day to day management of the Systems and being contactable 24 /7 for escalations
  • Maintaining customer relationships and customer service excellence always
  • Monitor, maintain and ensure that all stock is catalogued and regularly checked to ensure all equipment is accounted for.
  • Work closely with the National Operations Centre (NOC) and operational management to ensure customer service delivery excellence of all systems deployed on customer sites
  • Monitor manage and analyze system information daily, producing reports when requested by the Systems Manager / Associate Director or Business in general.
  • Maintain management systems ensuring all new client’s information is added and updated at all times
  • Ensure all system maintenance is up to date at all times and reports and completed for each site visit and recorded in the relevant databases
  • Learn and be aware of new technology in the market and explore these options with the Systems Manager

What experience and skills do I need? 

  • Friendly presence and helpful attitude; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team as well as alone.
  • Outstanding professional support; first-rate telephone skills, professional demeanour, previous customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Proven problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
  • Ability to exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
  • Working knowledge of common operating systems and software applications.
  • Knowledge of the Security industry strongly desired
  • Knowledge of Quality Management, British Standards and Health and Safety
  • Time management skills
  • Administration skills
