Job Role 

The Contracts Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient management of the Company’s business by means of operational interaction, direct supervision of staff and liaison with Clients for a designated region. 

Looking to build strong customer relationships, bespoke operational requirements to meet individual customer needs. Ensuring the highest quality service whilst exceeding stakeholder’s expectation at all levels 

To recruit, develop, manage and monitor security personnel ensuring standards, contractual obligations and health and safety issues set out by the Company are adhered to. 

Ensure effective deployment of recourses, effective control of absence management correcting underperformance as necessary. 

Management of time and ability to support/enhance our service delivery across a diverse industry within a 24/7 operational environment. Ensuring expectations and requirements for all stakeholders are met

Job Responsibility 

  • Be actively involved in all operational/Contractual duties, ensuring you are able to provide a comprehensive account of actions taken by staff under your responsibility, and the operational needs of the Company whilst, at all times, leading by example. 
  • Keeping up to date with current threat levels, advising staff and clients accordingly, looking at action plans to implement given a change in status. Planning Project Griffin training for all staff across portfolio testing awareness/impact. 
  • Ensure efficient and effective deployment of personnel, look to maximise trained resources, ensure rates of pay reflect site requirement, minimising enhanced subsequent costs 
  • When necessary ensure completion of investigations/disciplinary/Grievance hearings in line with company policy. 
  • Measure effectiveness of site instructions ensuring details are current and offer maximum impact, whilst also challenging knowledge and competencies of team members. 
  • Develop with Training Manager tool-box talks as Relevant to meet the needs of the business, correcting subject knowledge as necessary. 
  • Undertake monthly review/KPI meetings with all Clients ensuring client specific documentation and reports are produced in a timely manner.  To identify areas of best practice. Similarly, producing action plans for remedial areas as and when necessary. 
  • Ensure all Site Company controlled documentation is accurate and complete at all times (Site Assignment instructions and Risk Assessments etc.) this includes all Company/Client Operating Procedures and relevant British Standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required 

  • 5 years’ experience working in Security within a corporate sector 
  • 3 years’ experience at Operations/Contracts Management level. 
  • Minimum Two years’ experience in managing a large Data Centre 
  •  Excellent communications skills, leadership, influencing and negotiation skills with a variety of audiences. 
  • Possesses a deep understanding of the business objective and process drivers that determine success 
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills 
  • Understanding of budget and loss requirements 
  • Knowledge of KPI reporting with understanding of impact 
  • Ability to negotiate with stakeholders at all levels, demonstrate the ability to build solid relationships with internal & external clients. 
  • Strong IT, HR and working knowledge of a professional security services organisation 
  • Demonstrable track record of leading and managing teams to a Management Level 3 Qualification or equivalent
