The Ward Security Star Awards

Our Employee Star Awards have been created to recognise employee excellence, professionalism and commitment in the workplace and reflect the founding PRIDE principles of Ward Security – Protection, Respect, Integrity, Dynamic Teamwork, Excellence.  For the last 15 years we have recognised and rewarded our people through the Star Awards initiative.

Throughout the year, employees are nominated by clients, managers or members of the public in recognition of outstanding professionalism in the course of undertaking their day to day duties.  The nominations are sent to the Star Award panel for review.  The Star Awards panel meets every two months to review the nominations and shortlist the candidates who will potentially become finalists.

All Star Employee nominees are presented with a certificate and a lapel badge to wear throughout the year which identifies them as a Star Employee. These certificates are presented at their place of work, in recognition of the nomination.

A shortlist of finalists is published in December with all finalists being invited to attend the Star Employee Awards Ceremony which takes place every January.  This is a glittering evening of celebration, where the overall winners are announced, and the coveted Employee of the Year is revealed.

All winners receive a trophy and £250, while the overall winner receives a trophy and £1,000 prize.

Our 2019 Awards Ceremony took place at the Tower Hotel, in London on Friday 24th January 2019.

Over 200 people attended the evening, including clients and VIP guests to celebrate our Star Employee achievements.

The 2019 Employee of the Year was professional dog handler, Aaron Page Baldwin in recognition of his outstanding work during 2019 in protecting the public at the Westfield Shopping Centre.  Aaron and his dogs on many occasions showed outstanding acts of bravery and courage.  Aaron was presented his award by Commissioner Ian Dyson OBE, City of London Police (see picture below)

An incredible evening of celebration and recognition, which was compered by comedian Russ Williams and featured singer Jamie Johnson!
