Ward Security has further strengthened its credentials as one of the leading security providers in the South East by being shortlisted twice in a national security awards competition.
Not only that, but the Rochester-based bespoke security provider has also gained a ‘Special Commendation’ in a separate national on-site audit scheme.
The company has been nominated for Security Guarding Company of the Year and, through Lee Gleeson, for Contract Security Manager of the Year in the prestigious Security Excellence Awards, which rewards only the very best operators, consultancies and people within the security industry.
By being shortlisted for Security Guarding Company of the Year, Ward Security has had to demonstrate professionalism, consistency of service and responsibility to both customers and staff.
And, for Contract Security Manager of the Year, Lee, who works at Wood Street, in the heart of London, has had to demonstrate his excellence and commitment in a challenging senior security management role.
Organised by United Business Media Ltd, and supported by info4security, SMT Online and Security Installer magazine, the results of this year’s Security Excellence Awards will be unveiled on October 22 at The Hilton Hotel Park Lane, London.
Meanwhile, Ward Security has also been commended in the annual national awards for the Silver Fox scheme.
This scheme is independently run by The Security Watchdog to improve the level of on-site performance of security teams across the UK through independent audits.
Organisers of the scheme said the Special Commendation “recognise those companies that have enjoyed particular success”. Ward Security was one of only four other security providers to enjoy this success.
The award will be presented by the Security Industry Association to Ward Security at a special dinner at the end of October.
Commenting on both awards, managing director of Ward Security, David Ward, said: “In an industry where standards of operational excellence can vary enormously, Ward Security has consistently aimed to improve all areas of its business.
“These awards recognise the efforts we have made as a business and the investment in time and money to make sure our security personnel can deliver, time and again, the kind of high levels of service our customers demand. Ward Security is not a business that rests on its laurels: we aim to continue to improve our operational excellence and hope that we continue to be recognised in this respect.”
